Question Powdermills

Has anyone had any success at Powdermills (Albury Fisheries) recently? If so, any tips? I keep drawing a blank - it might just be me!!

Don't fish it much. personally i find it overpriced for a lake full of 4 pounders. Also, and is this just me, but i'm not 100% that the lake is suitable for trout. In the summer they look distressed, and often have a lice problem. When i have fished it, i have done reasonably well on olive damsels. fish up the top end of the lake and always look/cast under the bushes as there are always fish there.!

Default Powdermills

Have been fishing Powdermills on and off over the last few months with not even so much as a bite On one occasion I counted three dead fish floating around. Managed to land a 4lb rainbow last weekend on a Bloodworm about 10ft from the bank - it literally just went belly up and it was into the net in a flash - didn't even put up a fight. Have to agree with BrownieBasher's comments - bit overpriced for 4 pounders and not sure how suitable a lake it is.

Went across to Weston - and cast at the shoal near the car park for about two hours - must have tried about a dozen different flies without any success.

Things might improve as it gets colder
