Thanks Nivek, it was a great day all round, and a big thankyou to all you FFF guys who made it down that day, we're humbled by your responses, and are looking forward to seeing you guys again sometime soon, this looks like a good spot for a fishery report, not surprisingly fishing was tough the Monday after you guys had hammered 50 plus Trout! By wed. it was back to normal with 7 anglers getting 18 fish, rainbows to 5lb 8oz, and a couple of Tigers, it's a shame they laid low on the forum day, the're are a bit cagey when the fishery is busy, it was noticible that the 1st fish out was a Tiger on Sunday, well done Tack, then they went to ground. But what about the 2nd Tiger caught on Wed, only the grandaddy of the pool at 7lb plus, and he's an amazing creature, real brute of a fish, very Barbel-like in apperance with his huge pecs, and he slipped up to our regular Scott after an epic scrap, who stalked him on a home made gold buzzer, top angling mate, that's twice Scott's nailed the big guy, superb! No pic i'm afraid, bit of a slip up there! I'm sure you're fed up of Alderneuk pic's by now anyway! Talking of Epic scraps, teeks tail hooked bow on Sunday was fun to watch, rolled right over a dry to, but that got topped on Wed, when Jim from Dalbeatie did battle for 10 min's plus with an unseen quarry that had 20 plus yards of backing out on no less that 3 occasions, he was a bit freaked out by it all! "Never had this happen before" he say's in a trembling voice, as I waited with the net, it slipped the hook just as he was starting to make some headway too! Scales on the point of the Diawl bach were a giveaway that it was somewhere other than in the mouth! Still it was fun to watch a grown man tremble! Lure guys have been scoring well with rabbits, black fritz's and blobs all working, still nailing a few off the top, daddies and hoppers, best, klinks a close second, buzzers should come into there own soon. Still no closer to that "grand slam", once again a big thankyou to all concerned on forum day out, cheers till next time, Wullie and Wilma.
