Just off the tel to John at the Merk, Harray is fishing it's socks off at the mo with 2Ib+ fish being taken most days, this week also included two 5Ib+ sea trout and John himself had a 5Ib 3oz Salmon today on a hedgehog in Merkister Bay, will hopefully be posting a pic tomorrow. Looks like I will have to add September to my months for visiting Orkney in 2010

That's good to hear Gerry. September always holds so much promise but doesn't always come good. Interesting though that this year alot of waters around the UK seem to be making a stylish exit from season '09. Must be some explanation.... preciptiation in June, atmosheric pressure in August... snowfall last winter I'm sure Stan has a theory... he's good like that

Some crackin fish there...Harray is a special loch and the international in 2011 will be a crackeri'm in orkney right now... but stuck at work on one of the smaller islands .. sods law
