Default Llandegfedd

Anyone know how it's fishing, what depth the fish are at and what methods and flies are catching etc etc?

Its fishing really well at the moment, the fish are right up in the water. There was the Llandegfedd open competition held yesterday with the majority of people getting there 6 fish limit The conditions were bright with sporadic cloud. If cloudy then you cant go wrong with Dries, otherwise a floater or slow intermediate with a small booby on the point and nymphs will get you fish. As for areas your a little spoilt for choice. The fish cages fish well through out the day while the Gabions switch on a little later in the afternoon. Hope this helps as there were plenty of people out yesterday so hopefully you should get more replies

Thanks Welshlynx, went up there yesterday. There was a north easterly wind which was quite strong. Was advised to try the northern arm but that was dead. Eventually located fish by drifting from the eastern end by the nature reserve down to the cages but it was midday before they came up at all. Intermediate or slow sink seemed to produce best results with all sorts of flies doing the business, the best of which ran off with my yellow and white dancer which parted at the dropper knot. Lesson learned though, two turn water knot doesn't work on fluoro. Just being a bit lazy due to getting fed up with a few tangles in the strong wind. Back to three turns from now on. Other flies which caught included bloodworm, bibio, carrot fly, goldhead black tadpole.
Bill Smiths Bay was green with quite a bit of weed and algae having been blown down theres no good.

Had an enjoyable day though and will be back.
