Default Glen Report after the flood

After the devastation of last week, fishing soon got back to normal as the water cleared and the only minor damage to the road was easily repaired and is good as new.All water defenses held up very well preserving stock, which began to entertain anglers and give plenty of sport.Ian Munro had 30 fish for his day with a fine fish of 9lb 2ozs full tailed and finned and another at 5lbs.But for Quality the best fish of the week had to be a 4lbs9 ozs Blue taken by George Davidson which was superb with again full tail and striking colour.Jim Eddie returned 32 fish, gordon Grant had 41,Slater Scott had 29 with a fish of 4lb 2oz,Alan Russell had a nice fish on a daddy at 5lb 5oz,14 yr old Tyler Hay had a really good day with 22 fish and returned a fish of 7lbs 12ozs,Another youngster who was fishing for the first time, was 9yr old Callum waring and had his first fish of 2lbs 12ozs,Other retrurns were,Alec Simpson 12,alan Staunton 10,Ronnie Birnie 12,Frank Harll 17,Ricky Thompson 14,Jane Denton 11,Tom Anderson had 2 visits with a 12 and 18 fish bag,Dave McGhee had 12,Ron Philips 11 and Brian Christie 16,best flies have been daddies, okey dokeys in orange and white,a sign of weather change,Tuftys,Skunks and orange Blobs have been the pick of the catchers. The coarse compy next saturday 19th,which doesnt effect the fly lochs at all,can all confirm before thursday for numbers and so we can contact reserve names to let them know. This loch has been fishing well with some nice carp and bream. The winter singles will begin in October and has a new format for anyone interested in fishing this and will run from oct to a final in April 2010.names to the fishery .

Default Floods

Well done on a good recovery. I never visited although I lived in the area for about 8 years as I did not fly fish in those days. Please give my reagrds to George Puller if he is still chucking fluff.
