Default High Newton, cumbria

Just fished it today.

Weather sunny, not good but slight ripple on surface.
Had at least 30 swirls to a foam backed daddy, 6 fish on, a couple nearly to the net and managed to net 10 fish.
9 to the foam backed daddy and 1 to a gold head damsel.

Other anglers catching on surface pattern.

Overall a good day,ck.

I fished High Newton on Thursday. Fantastic fishing i fished a black ant and had lots of offers but missed most of them (newbie) i maneged to catch three all on top of the water. They were taking anything black. I got one on a black hawthorn and one on a black klinkerhammer.Just as i was leaving they were stocking the lake with more fish. Great days fishing in a beautiful location
