Default lochmill fife

on the local club water last night, lochmill, in the hills behind newburgh. fished the original delta taper slow glass with a team of 3 nymphs, the point being the lime green davie mcphail nymph. this was irrisistable to the powerpacked sometimes two year old rainbows. had 5 in 4 hours, great for me! this water is seriously underfished with only one public boat avaliable. if your nearby, get there!

Fished it once many moons ago,you used to get the permit from The Bear Tavern in Newburgh ,if your traveling from the Perth direction turn first right after the bowling club and just keep going till you see the water board sign for loch mill, its quite a narrow back road.

Default re lochmill

its slightly bigger than golden but much deeper and much more of a challenge! the permit is avaliable from the wee shop in middle of high street called last orders, £15. mind theres only one per session. watch the wind! its a tricky place when theres a blow on, worth a recce before you commit. i live in newburgh and it can be calm here but an awkward hoolie when you arrive to fish! makes it fun tho!?
