Default b;ob and which buzzer?

been hearing reports that a popular method at present on smallwaters is a ginked up blob on the point with a buzzer on the dropper. seemingly the fish are rising to the blob but almost always takin the buzzer instead. what size, colour of buzzers would you guys reccomend on this set up? regards yc

Hi can you ever go wrong with either a black, olive or brown buzzer, for me on a size 12/14 I never have any luck going bigger.

If you can manage 4 flies try a ginked up blob on the top dropper, a cruncher booby on the point with 2 size 12 buzzers/DB's/cruncher or even a cormorant on the droppers.

If your not comfortable with 4 flies just fish the blob, cruncher and 1 buzzer. Remember to "hang" your flies at the end of the retrieve even on small stillwaters.

I'm with Englander on this one.
The fish always seem to take the blob no matter how many or what other flies I have on.
I don't gink up the blob as the fish don't take it properly. It fishes much better sunk and slow.

No absolutes in this game,
I tied on a goldhead green & black buzzer with an orange blob on point, hoping to help sink the blob to where the trout might be hiding more quickly and keep it deeper on the retrieve. First cast on a big windswept reservoir I had this lean and mean 3lb'er, to the buzzer.

Other times I've fished the buzzer/blob combo and cut the buzzer off after three fish to the blob and only weeds to the buzzer.

Default Blob/buzzer

Same here. use this method lots and 80% take the blob, never ginked though, slow an sunk defo the way. sometimes especially when windy, a slow glass line makes this method deadly, but theres something about that blob......
