fished beecraigs today bit blustery at times one wee shower but other than that weather not too bad ended up with 6 fish boat partner 2 is it just me or has this place went downhill since the fish farm closed the quality of fish were poor relation to what they used to stock i know its not about catching big lunkers but for £ 47.50 for a boat with no outboard is there no value now best value around must be linlithgow £40 for boat 12 fish to the boat [fantastic value ] and a great stamp of fish what do you think lads

I agree it's certainly not a patch on Linlithgow but it's a nice wee water if you're looking for somewhere relaxing and sheltered to fish. I fished Beecraigs last week in the torrential rain and ended up with 5 fish and lost a few more. Nothing bigger than 3lb but they were in a lot better condition than the ones they used to put in from their fish farm. They all had big tales and put up a good scrap. The fish they used to put in weren't the best and seemed to be worse the larger the fish was.
