Default Fishery update after the floods.

After the heavy floods at the Glen of rothes trout fishery, the fishery is now open again and with all minor repairs to the road all done .the lochs are fine apart from today with coloured water which is to be expected but was clearing well and should be ok on Sunday. Those who were fishing today were catching very well and said the fish were in really good condition and clean, like bars of silver,so it has done them alot of good.the coarse loch was also fishing well and fish were also being caught so all is well at the fishery with the only problem now solved being the minor road damage which was minoris fine.Unlike previous floods where it was devastating to the fishery, this has been nothing and the prevention we had in place has worked perfect.Anglers can be assured it is fishing as normal at the Glen, these are the FACTS and anything else anyone may hear will be pure rumour and untrue. It is typical in angling that rumours of disaster and they grow but we are as normal and if in doubt come and see for yourself. We have been very lucky, thankfully, due to prevention from knowledge of previous years.

Default Glen of Rothes Fishery

Hi Kevin

Glad to hear things are okay at the fishery. Had been watching the news avidly for info in case you were affected badly. Good news that you managed to avoid disaster owing to previous experience and prevention measures.

Well done you!

Trish

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and kind wishes,We have been lucky compared to many. Thanks also to the council the use of the tea towel to stop the wate rcoming in the door worked a treat,f....g mad nuts,My daughter unfortunatly lost everything and has been wiped out,but is lucky that she is insured unlike some who couldnt get as it is the 3rd time in 12 years, they are the less fortunate and not of their own choice believe me.
But it was good to learn from The council when they came to see the damage at my daughters that the manager had gone home as he was only on half day on saturdays.
We all have a crisis in life, for some its now,but the pieces will be picked up by each with not much help as normal from where it should come from directly and lessons, which should be learned ,yet again, will take another 8 years of passing paperwork from desk to desk and back again.
It amazes me that the people who do more to help others are volunteers and those who do naff all and shuffle the papers ,highly paid,do very little apart from look good on TV and speaketh very politily and say" I understand"
