Default Pitsford

Thinking of going to pitsford tomorrow, not sure whether to get a boat or fish from the bank.

Does anyone have any up to date info that might help me decide. Any info on depths/locations/methods/patterns that are working would be much appreciated too. I've been really struggling lately.

Cheers
Tom

Pitsford is really weedy from the bank at the moment. I fished it twice this week and the only really fishable areas are the gravels, and stone barn bay with the way the wind is. The Gravels was very hard going and i manged two fish on each visit but there were a fair few fish coming out in stone barn bay. It was extremely crowded though as you can imagine with the bank space being so limited. On the plus side the fish i did catch were all 3lb plus and looked like they had been in a while.
The boats seemed to be having a few fish drifting across the bowl, other than that id be surprised if you couldnt pick a few fish up from the pines on a boat as that area has held fish all year.
Fly wise Daiwl bachs, crunchers and buzzers seem to be as good as anything. Did notice a lot of fry about though so Minkies might be worth a chuck, especially if you get their early morning.
