It no longer has Salmon.
When I went last Friday, I caught these 3 in the first lake figure-of-eighting back reasonably slowly on an intermediate with an Ace of Spades:

The water is always coloured there, and black buzzers/nymphs or lures always work well.
If you have any other questions give me a shout, as I've fished the place many times over the years.

Default Great still water

Great still water, fished there many times.
Got to fish deep most of the time, but can catch really good size fish.

I had 11 out on my last visit a couple of weeks ago.
This place is hard to beat in terms of fun & value for money.
I'm going again this Friday (weather permitting) so I'll report back...

Yup,for the money its hard to beat with c/r as a bonus.Only drawback is its size, its small and although i have never been at weekends(only midweek) i would think it can get too busy.
Buzzers usually do well.
