Was here today and iam sure anyone else who turned up for a non fun packed day of sun bathing will agree there was a severe lack of fish in the water and the best bag was only 4 with the majority of other boats having 1 or 2 and a whole load of blanks!
Wont be rushing back at the tail end of the season again in a hurry

The guy that runs North Third is known to stop stocking well before the end of the season. We never go there after the end of August.
The starting time is a pretty late 10.00am, geared up I believe to suit the school run with his kids, which is fair enough, but he will not issue a ticket until 9.45am at the earliest, even if he is obviously in a position to do so. If you approach him at 9.40 or thereabouts I can guarantee that he will ask you to come back in 5 minutes. He's a d!ck. Well he's actually called George.
And we've noticed that if you take a boat and don't take his engine but bring your own electric, you'll almost always be given a boat as far away from the car park as possible so that you have to carry your gear along the muddy shore.
It's a pity really, as it's a beautiful little reservoir and when it's fishing well it can provide some great sport.
