Default Boat etiquette

What has happened to boat manners people cutting drifts, trawling, bad language and must catch fish at all costs. Bring back the days of fishing for enjoyment!

had this not to long ago at lomond hills on holl old boy kept bringing his boat close in front of me and dropping anchor peed me of after the third drift as i was told no anchors aloud and he had brought his own one so went back to the cabin told the boy what he was up to and asked if there where any anchors about he gave me one and advised I did the same so i got right behind him dropped anchor and cast as close to him as possible him and his boat partner soon made way think that's how you need to treat them Ive always tried to move the boat away from others fishing and not to disturb there fishing but been close to just ramming a few boats due to them shouting from one to another no need

manners , some of these boat anglers display the samemanners driving a car as in a boat, heard a guy cursing a blinding out of him after he lost a trout, wasnt even a big fish, then he revved up his engine and rocked up other boats in the area making the other guys sit down on there seats till the swash passed,
as for cutting drifts well im afraid thats just ignorance, enough said

Well said, i see this sort of behaviour pretty much everytime i take a boat out on Chew these days.

Its usually either the must catch fishmongers who seem to move in on you when you catch, or the just plain ignorant who cannot be bothered to show curtiousness to others.
