Default Tullich Fishery - Ballater

On advice form Morayflyfisher in response to an earlier post, I called in to Tullich the week before last to ask the owner, Davy Gill, for some advice about wild trout fishing in the area.

Davy wasn't around and as the weather was awful, I decided to try my hand at the fishery - £8 in honesty box for 5 hours C&R.

2.5 hours of strong wind and heavy rain- nothing.

then..... wind eased, rain stopped, sun came out..... fish started rising all over.

I had the fishery to myself and caught 7 beautiful rainbows in next 90 minutes - all to dry flies - savage takes and strong fights.

Really impressive was that despite there being masses of rain for a few days, the water was crystal clear.

All in all, a very enjoyable session at a very impressive small fishery. A great day.

Thanks

Don
