Devotees of the dry fly will have had a really good year to date and it still continues.Most fish coming to drys well such as cdc,daddys,yellow sallys and muddlers.kates and clan chiefs also continue to produce with damsels working along with yellow dancers.Plenty of Blues appeared in bags with some a good size,as Rick Thompson found with his nice 5lber,Ally Simpson Snr had a one of 3lb 9ozs also.Ian Wilson newly started on the fly landed his best yet at 8lbs 2ozs,John Vandyk had a 6lb fish,Steve Christie had 5lb 10oz,Martin Grant and Archie Miller both had fish of 5lbs,and Ronnie Cowie had a 4lb er.Tom Anderson had a fish of 4lb 8 ozs and his brother Bill had 14 for his few hours.Two Visits by Phil Moss had 13 and 20 fish,and willie Petrie also in 2 visits had 10 and 15 fish,David Davey had 11,Alan Wilson had 11,les Aitken had 21,Steve Wright had 18,Jim Eddie 21,Chris Johnston had 19and John Fraser had 10. Zander Christie on the coars ehad Carp to 3lbs and bream to 2lb 8ozs.Fish are continuing to feed well and anglers are enjoying some good sport even in the hardest of conditions of high wind and rain they still are being taken off the top.The change of fresh water can only help to improve the fishing even more in the coming week.
