Default Help at Blagdon

Hoping to visit Blagdon this weekend, for a spot of bank fishing. I'm thinking an afternoon ticket to fish thro the evening probably best. Has anybody any tips on best locations, tatics, flies etc?

Default Help at Blagdon

Hi,

We fished there two or three times in June and Daiwl bachs were the order of the day or should i say the last hour of the day as most of the days were very hard indeed and even some of the boats were struggling.

The North Shore down to Pegs Point and Rugmoor were mainly weed free and fishable, whereas over on the south bank (the lodge side) was pretty much unfishable from the bank.

I don;t know what it is currently fishing like but if you go on the Blagdon lake/fishing website they do have fishing reports that are quite informative.

My advice for this time of this year for Blagdon is get a boat, and also look to the early mornings and evenings as to the most productive times.

I hope that this helps, and good luck.

Andy
