Club outing at Tweedale today

As most members will know - Tweedale can be a wee bit windy - and boy was it windy and wet

When we booked in we aere told that its a bit hit and miss at the moment ,, 70 anglers on yesterday and not a lot of fish caught. 1 ton of fish put in on thur - with that a good head of doubles - plenty of fish jumping clean out of water -

To make a long story short - went to top pool ,, casting into wind for 4 hard hours and had 2 for 6lb ,, anyone would take that on a day ;like today -

When i took jacket off

it was soaked through

Need to get myself a new jacket - £100 or less to spend as ive got £300 to spend on a Rutland boat seat, when i find 1 ;D

Sorry i missed you yesterday ali have been putting in a lot of extra hours getting the hot food premises ready. Regards the weather, this year its the worst ive seen for heavy rains and very strong winds. Usually its windy at the millennium but lately its just been relentless. The fishery is full of fish and we estimate that theirs in the region of 200 + double figured fish in the fly pools at the moment. Its been fishing very inconsistant 1 day its very dour the next it fishes fine. The fish that are jumping are not feeding fish , they seem to do this every year around this time and we think they are trying to get rid of some lice, usually when the weather settles and the temps drop they seem to stop leaping around and start feeding more regular.
