Default glen report with results of masterline Singles

The Masterline Singles attended by 38 anglers had to work for their fish as heavy rain coloured the water and even so those who fished dry fly were the winners in the end.The eventual winners were in 1st place Steve Corsar 2nd Kevin Andrews and 3rd Place Dena Cruickshanks. Most had caught their tally of fish and some really cracking Blues, with the heaviest near the 5lb mark by Dena were part of anglers bags.many had hooked into fish only for them to come off which seemed the story for most but made it even closer for the final results. We had a surprise visit from renowned Master Angler ,Ally Gowans and our young anglers took full opportunity to gain some knowledge as he passed through on a family visit and a big thanks for that. Bob Archer during the week had returned a nice fish of 7lbs and their were plenty others of top quality around with George Shearer and David Davey both with fish of 5lb 5ozs,Kevin Howell had a 5lb 2oz,Alan Wright had a 4lb 8oz and C Cairns a 4lb 7oz,Good numbers were caught and most of these again were to the dry fly and buzzers.R Birnie with 16,J Eddie 17,F Thrall 14,Bob Anderson 11,M Lowery 12 and S Gill,Dave Leitch and T Anderson both on 10 each.On the coarse side Tony Hunt had a great haul with 64 fish in the coarse loch and Sunday after the rains anglers did find it hard also.next Sunday 23rd there will be a coarse competition with maximum pegs of 14 which have filled up fast and should prove ,weather dependant ,a good competition.

And Dena Cruickshank with one of her Blue rianbows nearly 5lbs caught at the competition.
