Default Whiteadder Reservoir

We're going up here on Saturday for the first time in many a year. We used to fish it a lot but even then it was usually early in the season. Some of the best fishing was done in blizzards on a freezing cold May afternoon

Have any of you guys fished it recently and can offer any advice? We're going through the day so don't know what the chances of a decent rise will be.

Cheers

Fished there two years ago it had been nice all weekend so I said to my bro we will go up later in the day to catch the evening rise. lol

Nah the evening wind driven downpour I did catch one fish around 7/8" lovely little fish worth the effort but I could barely walk back my clothes were sticking to me. I for sure will remember that day.

Caught my fish on a pearly wickhams or something like that I always go for something flashy in those conditions and most of the time it works.

The weather can certainly change quickly up there Lewis, although it does to go from bad to worse rather than the other way round. Just as well it tends to (or at least used to) fish better the worse the weather gets.

Well so much for it fishing better in bad weather The wind and rain were awful on Saturday but I still never got an offer. A couple of our guys had small fish on Kates and variants fishing across the far bank but for the guys on he roadside bank, it was more like fishing in the sea with the size of the waves
