Decided to change Tic tac's (tactics) and go much lighter, a solitary very small traffic light buzzer 20ft leader, and quickly had two, another three followed, one a nice fish of between 4 or 5lb, good sport, and as usual Senga was a gem and made me feel most welcome.

Cracking fishery, you always get a bit of sport here, the fish put up a fair scrap, i think George has them on red bull or some other energy drink.

Best regards

Despite the swirling winds those fishing and managing to get a line out were catching fish. Apps Bloodworms fished slow on a midge tip doing well or on a floater under an indicator. Again Buzzers fished on the same methods catching well Black and Claret or Black with a Blue collar.

We have eight places left due to a team pulling out of the Airflo World Masters Individuals Heat here on the 4th of March this should be a great day with prizes for the Heat winners and Prize Money too for the Heat Winners. For any information please call George on 01475 676005.

Was up Sat and had my best day so far. It was wild with a strong wind blowing from the south and the rain battering down at times. But who cares as long as you are fishing. Even in the bad weather everyone was getting fish and most importantly the grub was top class. Had a cracking brown around 4lb. Made my day. Great fishing. Great hospitality.

Cheers Alex

Thumbs up Re: New haylie

Made the most of the weather today, paid a visit to the Hailey. Plenty fish showing on the surface. I managed 3 cracking rainbows all on sussy buzzers. Even managed to stock one off the surface, at the bait pond, got dragged into the weed, where it managed to snap off.

Watched a lovely brownie chasing minnows & trapping one in between 2 rocks, where it proceeded to attack the minnow. It was interesting to watch & see how it proceed to kill & eat the minnow. It was in relatively shallow water. It would have a go at the minnow, then leave it alone, then come back. It done this 5 -6 times, before it finished off the minnow.
Never seen a trout doing this before.

Best Tactics/Flies very changeable this week with fish being caught at top middle and bottom Lures, Buzzers, Wets, Diawl Bachs, Crunchers, Rabbits, and Blobs fished under a Sight Indicator or pulled across the surface all catching fish.
Sunday I headed south with my fishing buddy Andy Richmond who was trying to qualify for the final of the winter heats I was just making up the numbers and an opportunity to say thanks to everyone at Chatton and the Game-angler site for their support/donation for the Daniel Murray Memorial events.
It was indeed a hard days fishing windy and cold and not too many fish on the go. On a phone call back to NewHaylie at Lunchtime Senga said it was tough going too but as i read the fishing log you guys sure had it good plenty of fish and I believe the weather was kind too.
Anyway we returned happy as Andy Qualified and I had a day out albeit a bus-mans holiday oh and fish less too but hey thats fishing.
DIARY NEWS
Saturday 25th February the fishery will be closed for That Day Only As Paisley Pattern conclude their winter league with Allendale Tarn.
Open Sunday Morning as usual dawn till dusk.
We still have a few places for the Airflo World Bank Masters Heat on the 4th of March for any information please call George on 01475 676005.
