Default DCAC (Willington)

Going to try Willington Lake tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if the river Trent has burst its banks there lately with all the rain we have been having ?

Any info most appreciated.

Mick.

Mick;
Went over the Trent between J24 and J25 on the M1 today, and the river is coloured, but still well within it's banks.

Hope this helps, regards, Castaline.

Thanks for that castaline, it`s just that at Willington the lake is literally a few yards from the river trent and is prone to flooding the venue.

Thanks again anyway for the info.

Mick.

How did you get on, its been fishing really well this year.

Managed to book a club rod at Carsington Res. Had 2 fish on the first drift from buoy 2 to fishtale creek, one of them was 5lb. (Pic on the way)

Then it went dead as it was very bright. Just having a beers whilst trying to light the BBQ!!

Due to the negative response, I didn`t bother going in the end. Didn`t want to be disappointed.
If i go in the next few days i will let you all know.

Mick.

It's always worth a cast at this time of year.

You can always try for chub in the Trent if the trout aren't up for it. You may even hook a salmon.

Might pop up there later.

If so, I'll report back.
