Default Alderneuk Report

Cooler weather has made the Trout much more active and some lovely resident's have made an apperance of late, like the 4lber in the photo, Click the image to open in full size. sorting out what depth the fish are at has made the difference, quite often 2 to 3 feet down, with Diawl bachs, pheasant tail nymphs or crunchers has been the way to go, cdc's hoppers and daddies taking when there on the top, daytime fishing has outfished evenings this last week with morning's being particularly good, blobs, catswhiskers and black and olive fritz has taken fish on intermediates or DI 3 lines, Tiger Trout have been on the prowl with a fair few taken over the last week, not seen one out on a lure now for ages and small imititave patterns are the way to go if you fancy one of these babies, I was saying the same thing to one of our regular's, Danny, on Sat. about the Browns, when he preceded to nail a stunning 3lb plusser on a Yellow dancer, so he! What do I know! In my defence another 3lb plus Brownie took a size 14 cruncher. Catch of the week goes to the ever consistent Stupike who on Tuesday managed 10 landed and a few lost, some spankers in among them, 4lb plus Blue, 8lb plus Rainbow, and several more 4lb plussers, all on Diawl bachs and Buzzers, best Tiger 4lb+ to Andy on a Diawl bach. Here's a shot of Scotts 6lb+ Brown from a few weeks back. Click the image to open in full size.

Sorry about the text being in amongst the photo's, haven't quite sorted that out yet!! Only just managed to, after several hours of head scratching, sort out how to post photo's.
Cheers WullieC.

Absoletely cracking fishery.

Wilma and Wullie couldn't be nicer.

Caught a nice 3lb+ lfull finned rainbow ast night just before dusk by landing a large daddy next to a previous rise. Fish came up again with a stonking take and an even better fight! 15 mintues later and finally the fish was netted.

10 minutes later and the chap next to me also caught a large 3lb+ Blue using the same method.

Highly recommend this accomodating peaceful fishery!
