Got there at 08:00 today.
Beautiful place, but not one for beginners!
There are some places where you can have a decent cast, but the place is full of snags. I lost 2 Hacklepoint Coachman's without even trying
You can see how people have problems in the photo below.

This is the lake where I caught my first fish, at about 08:30. This was on a Hacklepoint Coachman dry fly. The fish weighed about 2 1/2 pounds.
I caught my next, in the main lake, about 45 minutes later.

This was also caught on the HC dry fly, after casting between 2 fish. Fortunately for me, the bigger one got there first & after a tremendous fight, I had a 3 3/4 lb'er on the bank.
I got the last fish, another 2 1/2 lb'er on a GRHE nymph, also from the main lake.
After a lovely morning's fishing, at 13:30 it was time to go home.
I would definitelty go there again. Let's hope they get the strimmer out & cut away a little of the overgrown stuff.
Apparently my dry fly tally is quite usual at Frensham. Lot's of fish genuinely rising & even though it was quite sunny it didn't really put them off.
