Default Linlithgow Loch

I'm due to fish Linlithgow Loch this coming Monday evening and have not fished it for many years. Any advice on methods and best areas to try would be much appreciated. Last time I fished it, it was very weedy at the eastern end during the summer, so I suppose this would be the case just now.

Best regards,

di3

Welcome to the forum.I believe the east basin is weedbound.

Walked round the loch last night and the water clarity is the best it has been all year! Watched a single angler pull in 2 within 10 mins just out from the island. The loch is well weeded up so around the hole would be my prefered option, depending on wind direction and traffic ( which should be reasonable on a Monday). Check the latest report on the loch website.

Good luck!

Fished it last saturday and it fished pretty well all day.

Majority of fish were took very close in to the palace bank though it was very weedy.

Midge tip with single orange blob done most catching for one boat(not in our group)as they hammered fish all day from that spot.

One of our group had his limit in no time down at that spot caught on dawl bachs and blobs.

The rest of us all managed a fish or two when we got close in as well.

Some lovley looking browns around the 2lb mark in the catch also.

As someone else said water clarity was excellent despite the heavy rain before hand.

Fished it on Sunday evening and found the fish about 3 feet down catching fish on buzzers. The day session had great sport using red dwial bachs on midge tip lines fished across the loch from the lodge.
