Default Alderneuk Report

Hi All, sorry for the lack of reports off late, computer problems, Grrr!!! Don't you hate them when they don't play! Some challanging fishing of late, with high air and water temps playing havoc with the trout, good sport to be had if you select the right weather patterns, colder weather this last week has seen an improvement, with fish to be had of the top, cdc's, hoppers and daddies all scoring, buzzers, diawl bachs, pheasant tail nymphs, and crunchers also taking fish and bloodworm, rubber legs and black or olive lures on intermediate lines taking fish when bright conditions have put them down. Some lovely bow's and tigers coming to stalking tactics in the clear water, rabbits and weighted nymphs top flies for these tactics. Got to mention a cracking catch by one of our regulars, Scott, who, while stalking on an old Fewnick glass 7ft brook rod, with a claret pheasant tail nymph, winkled out not only our top Tiger Trout at 7lb plus but not 20 min's later, on the same tactics, returned a stonking 6lb plus Brownie, then went on, on Buzzers, to bag another 4 Bows to 4lb plus, quite an evening! Only the week before on Dries and cdc emergers he bagged 8 to 4lb 12oz, He blanked the next session, to bring him back to earth! Stupike and Kevin did well in adverse conditions to bag 14 trout to 5lb plus over two sessions on various tactics, Country Joe is still sobbing over his reel screaming line breaker, never mind Laurie, I'm sure you'll blob another out!!!

Mixed fortunes at Alderneuk today, met up with Stupike from the Forum,
A master of Nymph and buzzer fishing,
Stuart was banging them with very sparsed tied size 14 Diawl bachs.
He gave me half a dozen and i had three really nice Bows, fish were really up for it,
When disaster, i caught my leader with my foot and put a size 14 Buzzer buried deep into my finger,
No problem as i had debarbed the hook, i would just pull it straight out i must have left a very small bit of barb or is it the lump thats left when you debarb?
Anyway i had to go to Casualty and get it dug out, i cant describe the pain whilst this operation was being performed.
Then back to Alderneuk to hammer those classy Bows, i never managed another cast the Heavens opened, heavy heavy rain,
So had to pack up,
Never mind Wullie at least it wasnae a Orange Blob.

Shame about the casualty trip country Joe, Wilma would have got it out with those rusty pliers, wi a lump o" wood jammed between the jaws for pain relief! Never mind, it was worth it for the pretty nurse who gave you the tetnus injection in the butt? apparently not, as she was a Hungarian shot putter!!!!
Some guys have all the luck I'm sure a stiff one of these sorted it all out
