Default hopetoun fishery

not seen a mention for hopetoun fishery yet.
is it because the power bait crew are always in attendance?
i have fished there a few times with the fly and have caught some cracking rainbows up to the 5lb mark. double figure fish are also caught on a regular basis,so just wondered why no one seems to mention the place?
are the clueless power baiters that off putting? personally i couldnt care bout them cos most times ive been i have usually caught fish.
and how many waters in the central belt do you know off that have a no fish limit? its a decent wee fishery, and i would like to hear your comments bout the place .thanks cowboy

Hello YC,This fishery is not classed as a fly fishery(It's 1.5 acres and 50ft deep).
It's old name is Paddy Higgins Quarry(he drowned his 2 sons in it).The story is quite sad but worth reading into if you like local history.
Anyway, this fishery is not everyones cup of tea.Just my 2p worth.
Andy.

Apart from yourself, how many flyfishers do you meet on the banks of Hopetoun.
