What a wonderful fishery!! must be around 20 years since I fished this place! The weather was gusting wind which made fishing difficult and plenty of tangles but the fishing was excellent! I had 8 fish (all going in my new smoker) that went 22lbs with my biggest 5lbs! C&R loads (especially on dries later in the day when the wind died down) around Rainbow and along the stones.. Cracking place!

I really wish folk would stop writing about how good Draycote is.I want it all to myself. But seriously, the first year i was down a regular told me it was Englands best kept secret, and boy was he right.Get on the anchor with buzzers and hold on and i mean HOLD ON!,or drifting with dries....excellent.To see those fish cruising as the sun goes down is jaw dropping tempting them, well go and have a go,just dont be catching too many before i get back down in October

Any news from Draycote this week? I've seen the rutland gillies report and it doesn't say much.

I'm there for the Lexus floating line comp on Saturday and will be fishing it blind as I've never been before and won't get any practice in unless we manage a few hours off the bank on friday evening.

All info will be gratefully accepted.
