Default 25lbs 3ozs carp

Just weighed about 10 mins ago a nice Carp of 25lbs 3ozs which was caught by Zander Christie on our coarse loch.Well deserved by him .This loch is producing some nice catches for the coarse anglers

Will post a picture once I get hold of it after weekend.Along with the Glen report for the week and results of the Snowbee Challenge singles which should be interesting, with over 50 anglers down at the moment for the event.Weather might deter some but it looks better for tomorrow than it is today.I expect some good fishing and plenty of nice fish to be caught. The fly lochs are fishing well, especially on small wets, cdc and daddies and plenty of good sport with fish chasing just under the surface has made it very visual for anglers and takes are savage.

nice fish, what is biggest caught in scotland?
only ask with reference to comments in different thread re scottish record, and not telling carp boys about location! they have tried but no success, biggest one i have seen at the spot was 50% bigger than the 20 i caught and is a helluva lot lighter in colour as well
regards

Hi not too sure of the exact weight myself, but im thinking somewhere round 29lb 2ozs.

These records seem to be kept very secret dont know why and i dont get involved in it myself, but when you start talking records it all goes quiet and if some know where there is a record fish in a water they wont tell anyone else and even put the water down to others so they dont fish it in case they get the record before they do.

Still I have a good idea whats in mine and the fish will do the talking in time and I feel thats best rather than saying this is in or not. Some swimming around in the water certainly raise eyebrows when they see them.

Thanks for the question.

I think the Scottish record carp came from Duddingston Loch in Edinburgh. I dont know the weight and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

certainly was many years ago, before coarse fishing became popular this side of border, but think it may have moved to another water now.(but not sure)

Is it just me or is this thread overstepping the mark...
Fly Fishing Forums. There's a clue in the title!
Plus it reads a bit too much like an advert for my liking.

Sorry to see you think that and if it offends you did you have to read it?

If you see it as an advert also then having paid my trade membership I think Im quite entitiled to advertise ,dont you think.

Just thought some may have been interested as it is quite a big carp up in Scotland.
