Default Grafham tonight - from the bank?

Hi, I'm new to the forum, and new to fly fishing this year. All seemed to be going well early in the season, I've had a fair few fish up to 4 1/2 lb but the last few weeks have been very tough going (due to the weather I guess). So I was looking for some tips on fishing grafham tonight.

I'm a bit limited in where I can fish at the moment due to fishing from the bank and not owning a pair of waders (my next purchase!). So if anyone has any tips on methods or recent news from Grafham that might help me out it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum.I think it could be hard to fish without waders.Probably best bet would be from near the boat dock.but hopefully someone with local knowledge can get you over deep water.with just wellies.

Thanks for the welcome, I was thinking the boat dock, particularly with the wind direction as it seems to be today.

As for swimming trunks, I think the sight of my knees would be enough to scare off any fish in the area, probably best to keep them covered

if anyone has any thoughts on methods it would be much appreciated. The fish seemed to be feeding on pin fry near the surface on saturday.

Thanks again

Boat dock or the stumps where it's all rocks.

PM Watson's Fancy as he likes to display his knees from the bank there some evenings

Seriously, drop Graham a note as he knows it well and is very helpful. I suspect it's a tough assignment off the bank there just now.
