Smile Selmmuir fishery update

Black or green buzzers fished static or very slow is giving some great sport, the klinkhammer dry fly fished static is also taking lots fish, the fish are sitting about 1-2ft down so they are not very deep, the bigger fish are starting to show as they have been sitting deep for a couple of weeks, anglers fishing lures are doing best with green/white cats whisker or orange dancers/damsel
the fishery is still open till 10.30

Default Saturday 11th July

I fished here on Saturday with my lad and it's a cracking wee place you've got there now. Looks great with good quality fish in it - if only the trees were 10 yards further back Not the best of nights conditions wise with a strong easterly that stopped any sort of rise happening (but it also kept the midges away), but I still managed to get 6 on an orange fritz or diawl bachs. Nothing big but all fighting well even in the warm water. My lad got one early doors on an orange dancer but then struggled but still wants to come back so it can't have been too bad.

I hear great reports from selmuir but i was worried to hear from a few guys catching 40odd between them, surely half a dozen or ten at most each on a small water is enough for any man on the same day???

Smile Selmmuir report

Selmmuir is fishing like a train this last week, best tactics again are black or green buzzers just under the surface or dry fly i.e suspender buzzer or klinkhammer, some anglers are doing really good fishing with a loch ordie pulled slow,a number of tickets are available at selmmuir, open 9am-10pm, if you require any info call 07598701237 or visit website www.selmmuirfishery.co.uk

Smile Selmmuir fishery update

Black buzzers fished very slow catching lot's of fish also doing very well dry fly i.e cdc yellow owl, daddy, hopper, sedge, the damsel is still fishing very well, rubber leg daddy catching lots of fish, the fish are still sitting sub-surface,so all you will need is a floating line, the cooler weather has got the fish feeding well and fighting very hard
open 9am - 10pm

Is it similar?
