I only really fish it out of season , even then i can never get to the pegs where i feel the fish are , cos of the peg hoggers

Fished it all day a few times, there where 5 cars sitting out side waiting on the gates opening ! one guy from each car got out "ran" ...........yes "ran" in the get permits while the others started trotting off to bag there favorite pegs ........................... ! They spent rest of the day there !

Thing that really anoyed me was guys taking a couple of fish then leaving all there gear on the platform to stop others while they went for a pee, coffee, pot noodle, chat etc ..for ages !

Nice water, quailty fish, nice setting..........................

Have to agree fully there Englander.

Talk about the Germans with their towels, some of those guys would beat them hands down.

Thats why, when I do want an easy catch, I give Swanswater a go but we take one of their boats. You anchor well out the way of the squaters/ironmongers.

Some cracking fish in there and fish with, no less than 8lb leader or heavier with some of the thinner leader materials. Broken three times in succession when fishing off the boat and casting towards the road wall where its deepest.
