Default stillwaters in lake district

Hi folks just wondering if anyone knew of a good fly fishery in the lake district near keswick.

Hi Gary,

Have a look at http://www.lakedistrictfishing.net/

Reasonable day ticket waters with an excellent reputation are;

- Esthwaite
- Bigland Trout Fishery
- High Newton
- Watendlath Tarn
- Derwentwater itself used to have a reasonable reputation.

Have a read through the waters listed in the above link, there are a few I haven't mentioned, and I'm sure the forums Cumbrian residents may be able to suggest a few more!

Watendlath, wild and wonderful. Great fighting fish, lovely surroundings.

Try this gary cogra moss is well worth a visit and is around 30 min from keswick.....will see you friday...

Definitely the best in Keswick area IMHO, in fact probably one of my favourite still waters of all! Good top of the water sport too
