Default Scottish west coast

Hi All
I'm on holiday on the west coast of Scotland in a couple of weeks, touring around the Oban, Fort William, Skye, and Fort Augutus area, can anybody give me the heads up on any decent fishing in these areas.

Cheers
Lee

Oban -- Kilmelford the post office for the estate lochs and the tackle shop in Oban for both the estate and fishing club.

Fort William --- Lochan Lun Da Bhra seems to be the best and easiest to get to, or try Arkaig or Lochy

Skye --- Would probably be the Storr Lochs

Fort Augustus ---- Lochy again or the Invermoriston hill lochs.

Don't know the rivers but used to fish Inverawe trout fishery many years ago, used to have a reasonable head of fish and you can also get some stuff from the smokery there. Keep a reasonable spinning rod with you if you want to pick up a few mackerel from Inverary pier, or pull your hair out trying for the mullet - freshly caught mackerel are a million miles away from the stuff you normally see in the fishmongers, eat asap and you will be amazed at the difference

Went from Glasgow to Fort William, through Roy Bridge and on to Aviemore. All the rivers are dry and some of the lochs are a bit low. Pray to the rain gods mate

Couple of grilse in McCommer(sp?) pool on the Lochay, but that was all the salmon I saw.
