A harder weeks fishing was had due to the hot weather and you could have cut the lochs in half as one side yeilded fish and the other half the odd one or two.Even though with the wind blowing and you would expect fish it went the opposite way as fish headed down to the deeper water.But it certainly wasnt bonanza time as previous months.Saying this plenty of fish were still caught as anglers returns show so not all doom and gloom.The Airflo International heat results were individuals 1st Ron Ewen 2nd kevin Moss 3rd Kevin Neri and team event 1st Gogs Robertson,Marc Moss,kevin Moss All now go to the Final at Elinor trout fishery in october for the Final.Plenty of bigger fish have come to the fore in the hotter weather and alot more coaxing is needed when they are returned but they are still fighting very hard even the doubles,of which thursday saw 4 retruned to the water.Gavin Addison,D Christie and D Macrae all had 15 fish,Bill Malloy, D Davey,P Bieske and Nicky Walker all had 12,L enny Smith and C Johnston all had 13,I Kerr had 17,Kenny Allen returned a fish of 7lbs,Phil Watt had 11 with his best at 4lb 8oz,J Adamson had 19,D Taylor had 10 with a fish of 6lbs,J McKail had a fish of 6lb 9oz,L Aitken had 20G Macrae had 24 and S Scott had a fish of 5lb 8ozs.Robertsons Group of over 50 persons had a good day out and best for their day was a fish of 5lb 2ozs with an excellent lunch and fishing for all and their familys,it wasa good day with plenty of fish caught and many not having fished before enjoyed hooking into fish.best flies have been Tuftys in lime and white and also orange and white and buzzers in lime and white.Drys have worked at certain times, like daddies.A Big carp was returned back to the coarse loch estimated at around 18 to 20lbs caught from the small fly loch, on fly by B Christie.
