Default Springwater

Thinking of fishing Springwater over the next week or so.........

Just wordering if anyone knows how it's fishing at the moment....Not seen any reports on the site for a while

Any other fisheries in Ayrshire beyond Largs that anyone can recommend for a days fishing?

I dont think there will be many fisherys that stock Grade A , majority will stock the lesser mortals . We had a stocking last week for our club all Grade A , In the tank next to it was fish bound for a fishery in the west , you have to see the diffrence to beleive it . Beleive me Grade B or C are good fish the A,s are something else..

I also fished Springwater today and have to agree with the fully finned hard fighting fish but that place really need some work done to it

The weed is completley out of control and at least half of the fishery is unfishable even on a floating line the island is inaccessible due to the bridge being only half built there is also various platforms collapsed into the water and the grass around the fishery needs some attending

I had heard a lot of good reports about this water and again i was impressed with the quality of the fish but i was a bit dissapointed with the condition of the place

I feel that only being allowed access to half a fishery is unfair as when being charged the going rate is poor value for money when there is other equal if not better fisherys within a short drive of Springwater

I do feel that if the work was carried out it would merit the quality of the fish that are stocked and it would once again live up to its past reputation
