Default Linlithgow Loch

Hi

Am fishing Linlithgow on Saturday and any info on areas/lines/flies would be great. Anyone fished it recently?

The lochs been fishing well since the start of the season. I would try floater or midge tip with buzzers, bachs or cormorants. Fished dead slow if conditions allow. Don't stay in the same spot for too long if your not catching keep moving till you find them. The washing line works well too fished on a slime or DI3. Just watch out for those line burning takes. tightlines

Depending on wind direction and boat traffic i would be inclined to try and anchor around the hole fishing buzzers across the shelf.

The loch has suffered this year from the prevailing east wind which has coloured the water badly, and the weed around the edges is now growing fast!

Thanks chaps, as I thought. Are the fish holding deep in the hole?

The weather hasn't been that warm so i'd imagine most of the fish will just be on the edge of the hole. They should be well spread out. There is plenty fresh stockies going in each week. They'll give you some scrap! If there's fish moving on the top try a BIG RED they can't resist it.
