Lightbulb Swanswater

Hi,

Going to Swanswater over the weekend, anyone have any info on how its fishing at the moment? What flies the trout are taking and at what depth? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated....

SWANSWATER, STIRLINGSHIRE: Fish reacted to the water cooling down by coming nearer the surface and taking dry flies.

The favourite dry patterns were Deer Hair Sedge, Mayfly and Daddy, with Bibio Buzzer, Cormorant, Bloodworm and Diawl Bach also taking flies.

Top quality rainbows, blues, browns and golds are all featuring in the returns.

Amongst the best catches this week were Danny Doherty's five for 17lb 12oz including a 6lb 2oz rainbow, and Jim Anderson's five for 17lb 12oz including a 6lb rainbow and two blues. Stephen Knox had a lovely 5lb 13oz gold.
