Not for a while, but this time of year if fish are moving through the day try small black suspender buzzers and small buthchers. Muddlers well worth a try on an eve. , large american style (the origonal) in long shank 8.
The bank in front of the lodge, dam wall and also the big bay/inlet under the bridge are the places to head for.

Hi Jim,
Cheers for the info,i dont get down as often as i used to but gonna make the effort soon.Never bother the lodge bank much like a walk over the other side and the dam wall may see you down there.

Been round the far side a few times but never hit on for fish over there. Even walked all of the way around one day and crossed the top arm in the nature reserve. Top tip: dont take that route, turn around and walk back. lol. Rough old trek that was!
The area just before the start of the dam wall which seems to stick out a bit (you know where I mean?) has often been kind to me. The last hours at ths time of year I used to spend on the dam wall if fishing was slow. This can be the place for dries and muddlers.

For me buzzers and nymphs over far side do well had some good days but not as many over the last two years for some reason, early season head for the shallows where the groins stick out of the water fishes well to lures,i agree the wall fishes well with the dries and the area before the dam gets called kiddies corner gets busy but is consistent all year had some good catches there too

Hi Bob,

Gonna give it a go tommorow will let you know how i get on.I have not been around that area Bob but i am sure if you put a post up someone will point you in the correct direction.I have fished at Coldingham loch which is a little further up the coast and i can highly recomend it,cant fault it scenery is fantastic good fish quality also they have a web page just google it for prices etc booking is essential i think you will see why if you go.

Pedro.
