Default Halliford Mere 1/10

I cant seem to get away from wind and rain it poured down. To the fishing there were plenty of fish jumping ,but catching was another matter, i hooked one fish around 10.30 ,it went like cat with my boot up its ****, but it through the hook just before the net, it was caught on a 14 red monty. It wasnt till late afternoon when i had my second take yet again the fish was mad as a march hare, and to my anoyance through the hook again, this time it was a 12 orange monty.I tried different flies during the day but had know joy, recent catches were on gold head daddies, but i didnt have any I think there was one guy who manage to get a fish in the net , but it was a hard day, the last few hours in the evening would have been the best times to catch in my opinion
I dont know what the stocked fish are feed on ,but pound for pound they out strip the Avon springs fish, they were only a couple of pound but i had to let them run or it would have been snapped line, the Avon fish are strong and heavy , hallifords are strong, fast and mental
