7 quid for a 6 fish limit. mixed method fishery, can be very busy at weekends, but well worth a go through the week. a fair size loch over 200 acres i would have thought.

Spot on mate..... Heard its been OK to the fly but it fishes best to the fly when its well warmed up. I know a few of the club members and they swear by this, so much so they still havent fished it this season as they say its not time yet, not been warm enough.

Whenever i have fished it, used wee trads or a mini viva to tempt them. Always been from the shore and found them not to far out.

Let us know how it goes!!

Bit early to fish the Glow

when all other waters are to warm to fish, thats when its right to fish the Glow. Cracking water and value 2nd to none

Buzzers and wets are all u need

Bumbles and blue Zulus work the best ,, thats until to Olives hatch ,, never saw a hatch like it before

Make sure you get your skin so soft ordered

good advice with reguards to waiting for things to warm up a bit. also i should add for the sake of anybody who hasnt been up before, when there is a medium breeze 2 miles away in dunfermline its probably like the north sea on the glow.

Your not wrong ,, you can have all 4 seasons up there in 1 day ,, chest waders needed ,, and away you go

theres an underwater river on the far side ,, if you can find it ,, you might be able to get one of the bigger fish out ,, its not easy to find ,, ask sum of the locals and they will point you in the right direction

Fish aint big at the Glow ,, just normal size ,, but for £7 a day and 6 fish limit ,, what else would you want

Hi folks

Has anyone ventured up in the last few weeks? We're fishing it on Saturday so hoping that it's warmed up a bit with the sunny weather there's been recently. Hopefully it won't be too bad - as long as there's not another easterly

I've noticed their website is down so any recent reports are very welcome.

Cheers

Smile Saturday

Just a quick note about our trip here on Saturday. Conditions were good for most of the day with sunshine and showers as forecast along with a fairly gentle westerly. As usual at Loch Glow given these conditions, there was an incredible number of flies getting blown down the water all day but unusually only a couple of fish came up for them.
There weren't many bait fishers about so we plenty room to explore all along the south shore. I started in the corner just down from the first fence, fishing the washing line on a sink tip and had a few early on - mainly to the booby. The fish were all in great nick and a few that I hooked gave me a real runaround.
Things quietened down for bit late morning/early afternoon when the wind swung round to about 3 different directions, but once it settled down again, the fish came back on the take. This time round I was still fishing the washing line but using a fast glass and they were either on a montana or the booby again. Ended up getting my 6 fish and losing another dozen or so. One of the best days fishing I've had in ages.
There was one other limit bag and various 1s, 2s and 3s weighed in. Best bag was 6 for 14 1/2lb with most of the fish weighed in around the 2 1/2lb mark - all in great condition.

Not bad at all for £7
