Default Rib Valley

Rib Valley is very coloured at the moment and not fishing great. Today we had the last leg in our "Three Venue" series and I think there were only four, 4 fish limits - that's how hard it was. One of those was George Pavli who won it on the day.

I only managed three but two of them were lumps at 5-10 and 4-7. I fished a floater with a goldhead cat on the point and two nymphs but fish were also caught on boobies and on the bung, so there was do definitive method.

I fished there yesterday on a four hour ticket for the first time this year. And as you say the water is very coloured, but I did have a few chances. A couple of little pulls and two fish lost due to bad angling. I was fishing in a quiet corner away from other anglers no more than 10ft from the bank. Im sure a more competent angler could catch their limit.
