Just looking for any information on this loch/fishery, has anyone every fished it or heard any reports about it????

i fished it years ago it was brown trout only dont no if rainbows are in it.someone will give you better details than me cheers

i was speaking to a guy in the gym earlier who said that it is now stocked with bows and blues and has a good head of browns, thinking it may be worth a try!

Its a local water for local people

went to fish it once but left again, very unfriendly and the bait & buckie boys were out in force, big change from when paul young fished it for hooked on scotland!

that was a good few years back, it might have improved but i doubt it!

It is stalked weekly with browns and rainbows.Boat fishing is fly only but bank is bait and fly, and if you have not been a member for 2 years you can only fish the one side of the loch from the bank.
Prices are good with a day permit at around £8 and around a fiver for the boat.

just phoned them and asked the question about where you can fish as i did not like the idea of that, they advised if you are fishing from the bank you can fish 3 sides of the loch with the wooded area the only bit you are not allowed as it is for full membership holders only, however, if you hire a boat there are no exclusions and you are permited to fish the entire loch.

Hope its changed because it was a good water, if you go let me know what it was like

i will most def go within the next month, all this local water for local people that they may try will not wash with me, if i pay my ticket and they willing take my money they will treat me correctly, at the end of the day i aint looking to be there friend only to catch there fish, lol, and if i am out on a boat it will be me and my mate so will not need to speak to them, lol

didnt fish it mate, turned back and headed to rosslynlee that day, didnt like the attitude of the guy or the look of it, wasnt for me!
