Had a great day on the bank at Rutland today
Blustery winds from the NW to W to SW and back again so a bit of a challenge finding a decent bank that wasn't heavily coloured
Anyway,found fish just by the church towards the dam and also at Green bank,although this was heavily coloured
Fish seem to be showing about 40 - 50 yards out all around Rutland so the boats look a good optionand they seem to be in the first 5 foot of water also.
Good day with 5 fish, 3 on a black buzzer(Magic circle hook) and the other 2 on a black tadpole

Fished Rutland from the bank lastnight. Bit windy!! Infact, alot windy!!!!!

Was supposed to fish the evening boat league but that was blown off.

Went round to stockie bay point and had a ball!!! Slow intermediate, Cormorant booby on the top, diawl bach on the middle, cormorant booby on the point. Two pulls to get them to 'kick' across the surface then steady figure of eight. The fish were really close in and i finished the evening by walking along the bank just tickling the flys across the surface as you would dibbling from a boat.
