Some week of fishing at the Glen of Rothes, Moray
Its not very often you find it hard to write a report but the catches this week would go on and on.So it will have to be scaled down some,due to many over double figure catches for their sessions.Many fish have been taken off the top with some just under the surface,despite at times strong winds,which certainly didnt put fish off the feeding.Daddies,buzzers and cdc,s along with damsels were the pick.best fish of the week went to Jimmy George with a fish of 14lbs 6ozs closely followed by Chris Johnston with an 8lb 3ozs,Alfie Sinclair had an 8lb 1oz fish,Kerry Fyffe Rounsevell had a 7lb 7ozs,G Robertson had a 7lb 14ozs,Ronnie Ewen had a 7lb 4ozs fish Grant Henderson a 6lb fish,Aaron Lonie a 5lb at 4lb 4ozs was George Cull and Keith Cryle.Dave Leitch returned a tagged fish.Graham Hartley had a good day with 40 fish,at 36 was Pete Green and 30 fish apeice was M Anderson,W McCallister,and A Fraser.On 24 fish were Mark morrison and Willie petrie,21 fish Ron Ewen who also had 25 on another trip,Phil Bieske also on 21 fish.Karen Gillies had a good day for the ladies with 20 fish,Ian Cameron had 16,David Reid had 17,David Davey also on 17,Ian Cameron had 16 Mark Lee had 17 Bill Taylor had 14 and 13 on two trips.At 15 fish each was Gordon Grant,Mark Tait,Keith Gilchrist and Ian Dick.More were over the 10 fish for their individual sessions also.
The Bill McLennan Memorial Competition was won By Ron Ewen with a total weight of 60lbs,2nd was Mark Morrison with 36lbs 1oz and 3rd was Sandy Taylor with 28lbs 5ozs.
Next compy is a coarse comp on 17th may and the coarse loch is fishing very well with anglers enjoying some good fishing here with all catching well now that the water has warmed up,so the next competition should prove a good and interesting one.
