Default Rutland evening bank session

Planning to visit Rutland tomorrow (Friday) evening. Does anyone have any tips on areas worth visiting or flies to try?

Black Buzzers on a floating line in Stockie bay would have been a good place on Sunday, not sure if it's still the case.

Cardiac Hill has been holding a lot of fish recently.

Good deep water near the bank as well, longish leader and buzzers should do the trick.

Peninsular: transformer right through to carrot creek, should the wind stay kind of southerly. Fish showing all the way along this afternoon.
Try:
Black/olive buzzers in 10/12, also with CDC.
PTN with a bit of flash in the thorax.
Diawls with a bit red or green in.
Floating line...

The forecast says a SW wind so maybe the peninsula might be a better option. Many thanks for the tips, really looking forward to chucking a F/L and buzzers. Hope to pitch up there some time around 4:00pm

Should be able to get a good 5 and a bit hours in if you stay 'til last knockings.

Have fun. Welcome to the forum by the way.

Got to the end of the peninsula around 4:30pm or so. Got some cloud cover around 5:15pm. Tried F/L buzzers and pulling a pea on the other F/L rod. Got one half hearted pull. Saw one fish move all evening. Packed up at 8:30pm. Talked to a few anglers in car parks driving back and no one did anything other than the odd one or two fish. Just one of those dead evenings it seemed

Went to Pitsford on Saturday fished from 10:00am to 5:30pm in that bright sun and very little ripple, plenty of fish showed through the day, had 6 'bows while I also hooked and lost 4 more along the way. Got bit off by a huge pike. Safely weighed and returned a stunning 4.5 lb brownie which happens to be the largest brownie I have had from Pitsford and the largest trout so far this season
