Default Sunday Report

Another good day for those who ventured up to Harelaw . Conditions were perfect from around 10.30 onwards when the wind settled. Fish were rising freely all day and gorging on buzzers on the surface, Hatches have been prolific and unusual for this time of year. The main concentrations were still in the Hectors Bay area and up in the Tank at the burn mouth. Some big browns to 5plus were caught and returned also.

Top lure Ace of Spades. Mr Finnigan had 3 in 10minutes from the jetty...

Best tactic has been a floating line with a team of small dark buzzers or diawl bachs fish almost static.

Lures fished quickly on a fast glass have accounted for some big residents that are chasing Fry in the bays.

Things are on the up and the weather is getting better by the day. Some quality evening rises are taking place now and from next week the fishery will open late to accomodate those wishing to fish till dark.

Mr Alexander and son bagged up today with some cracking sport on buzzers beetles and small spiders....

They followed the advice on the board and got off to a flyer with a good fish first cast. Nice to see you guys.

fish are right on top now and starting to spread out from the Hectors bay.

Some quality fish caught today by Wullie munn and big chris, nice to see you up guys. Also the lads from GAC did well with some great sport on small traditionals. The evening rise is getting better by the week and surely the good weather cant be far away. A norwegian angler Mr Egglesson has had a brown estimated at 12-15Ibs witnessed by several good anglers. This must be one of the biggest resident fish in Harelaw and broke free after a 15 minute battle.

Mr roy returned 11 today with a blue at 8plus and a bow of 6plus on small beetles and smuts.

Default Saturday report

Avery strong cold East wind kept the fish down today and many struggled.

Tam young had 10 with plenty offers from the bank on small black flies.
mr hulme had 9 keeping a nice 4pounder.
Mr lambardi and co struggled on the boats but managed a few between them on lures and blobs.
Mick Reed had a 3 and a 6Ib brown both returned also 8 rainbows to over 7Ibs well done mick.
Fish are tight to the shore now and in very shallow water but the wind is keeping them down.
