Default Harelaw today

Went up Harelaw today , 2 boats for me n 3 m8s , cold east wind but manged 4 my m8 had 5 the other boat had 5 between them , not an easy day by any means but well wothwhile when u consider the surroundings, quality of fish and the manager (WEE Alex ) no bull just straight talk fae a genuine bloke who happens to be fishin daft himself . I have no vested interest in Harelaw but would implore the true fishermen (specially west o scotland ) to give this water a go before it is lost to us , as ther was few on the water today compared tae the amount o peeps that fish puddles , so come on lads support it or lose it

tightlines jonboy.

You dead right Jonboy..it amazes me also, how many people fish these small man-made fisheries yet quality natural waters like the Harelaw are quiet. I think people are scared of its size..i also think it`s the best type of water to learn about fishing!..i cut my teeth on the Barrhead Dams so this is perfect for me!

cheers Diarmid.

Dont get me wrong fish sma waters myself but they aint the be all , I think ther is more satisfaction from taking a few fish from waters like harelaw than ther is fae batterin lumps out a puddle ?? although we can all do wi a red letter day now n again.
