I had a great days fishing last weekend at Tring reservoir trout lake. It is still a syndicate water but you can now fish it on a day ticket at weekends. A dat ticket costs £25 and a boat is £4.50 for the day. I had a 10Lb Rainbow on a Hares ear nymph which I returned and saw another guy return a 9lb Rainbow! I took 3 fish and returned a further 3, the fish were rising all over the lake and it was great top of the water sport. You are allowed to take 3 fish and catch and release a further 3. I'm affraid I don't have the baliffs phone number but it is on a board at the fishery and would definately recommend a visit.

i believe its prebook only.
fished there today, water very coloured due to the heavy rain during the week. caught 4 fish lost a few others. all mainly stockies of about 2 - 3 lbs.

I think it's probably best to book as there's only 4 boats though the bailiff normally turns up around 9 ish. I will get the phone number from my mate who is a member there and post it on here.

I live in Aylesbury and have been wondering about this place for some time; do people bank fish here as well as from boats?

The reason for asking is that I have never fished from a boat and wouldn't know how to go about it!
