Welcome to the forum MM. You may not have noticed but there is already a Carsington thread in this section (second page, halfway down) entitled Carsington...Superb, which will give you regular updates.

As it happens, I spoke to Phil at Carsington 5 minutes ago.. he says it's fishing very well indeed, with buzzers high on the agenda, Diawl Bachs a close second, but most methods including blobs/lures/nymphs working well too.

I was there 2 days last weekend and had a supurb time......loads of fish with my best a 7lb Rainbow (stockie though) and a 3lb brown !

Best area's were Shinningfords Bay...(just by the wire fence)
Fish Tail Creek

And Just down the bank a bit (300m)from Shinningfords....sorry i don't know what its called

best methods were black buzzers on a floater, or orange blob on a DI-7sweep 20seconds down.... both caught loads of fish !

But the majority of the fish were only 20-50 yards off the banks...!

I tried the open water even with the Di-8 and boobies but it was a waste of time (too deep) stick to the margins for the fish

Cheers rob
